IT Buzzword Bingo

When working in IT at a large company you constantly find yourself in meetings with people who are not computer illiterate. However, the only problem is that since computers have become mainstream everyone thinks they are an expert nowadays. I always find it funny when you are sitting in a meeting and someone who is not technical tries to mix a bunch of buzzwords together in order to make themselves sound important. Let me give you an example: "Ron, We need to use an Agile methodology for this new project. I think if we draw up a few UML diagrams then we can start prototyping by next week. The application should be developed in C pound and I want to make sure it uses SOA. Since this project is Agile, can you have it ready by next week?" After hearing some of this nonsense a few times I started to realize that there must be a dart board somewhere with a bunch of buzzwords on it. Before project initiation, a few darts are thrown and the results are used to develop the project plan.

Then I thought, wouldn’t it be fun to have a game called "Buzzword Bingo". Just create a few bingo boards and distribute them to all the code jockeys in your department. When you’re at a meeting you cross of the words that are used. Just make sure that you don't yell out Bingo in the middle of the meeting!
