I have been thinking about starting a blog for quite some time. Well now that 2009 is here I figured that I would put all the excuses aside and start blogging.

My intent is mainly to blog about topics related to computers and information technology. My career to this point has been very microsoft-centric. Therefore topics like C# and LINQ will probably become very commonplace. I currently work as a DBA for a large company in Tonawanda, NY but I will always be a programmer at heart. There is no coincidence that the majority of my friends at work are developers and most of my browser bookmarks are programming related. Someday I will return to my roots....

Every once in a while I will probably sprinkle in a story about something non-computer related. I am fortunate enough to have a great wife and three kids which I credit for helping me become a more well rounded adult. Before I met my wife and I was your stereotypical computer geek. I would camp out in front of my computer for hours.

Anyway, even if no one reads my blog there is something therapeutic about expressing my thoughts and feelings in writing. Some people would probably prefer a psychiatrist, but I just can't justify paying someone a bunch of money to tell me what they think is wrong with me. I have family and friends for that. LOL
